    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is making your character all-knowing to an extent, or knowledgeable of skills or events that they wouldn't be exposed to. For example, looking up information such as survival skills or magic for your character to spontaneously know is metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing other characters to do things or take on a new course of action in an unfair or irrelevant way. For example, ignoring your character's limitations and emoting to defeat a much stronger character in combat is powergaming.

Adrista stared wide-eyed at the gentleman, seeming startled by his sudden presence. After noticing the smile on his face, her expression of worry faded instantly, and she returned the grin with warmth.

 

"Why, hello! 'Tis a fine city, indeed! I'm not looking for much in the ways of wealth or adventure, but a place to sit and rest would do nicely!" She fiddled absently with her amulet, gaze wandering to the vast city and its many residents. Her stare settled back to the gentlman with an inquisitive twinkle. "I've heard tell of a tavern around here, know the way?"
