Born within the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. Born outside the cities, on the plains and near its forests. Descending from a though lumberjack, and from a farmer’s daughter, he was destined to grow up strong and smart.
However, misfortune happened as soon as Fredric left the womb. His mother died during childbirth, and forest fires forced his father to move away from the village to earn money.
Despite all setbacks, he had a good childhood. He enjoyed the presence of all the other children, and learned many things from the elders who looked after them.
He learned many things, but there were a few things that the villages could not teach him.
Growing up within the borders of Hanseti-Ruska meant growing up with conflict after conflict.
Even through war never directly reached the village, from an early age Frederic spectate multiple battle nearby.
Only one thing was clear as day in his mind. Chivalry was death.
Moreover, it was during one of the latest conflicts, when his father return wounded to the villages, that he learned the most important thing:
Live is not fair.
Frederic became a broken man, but soon realised he could do something.
He had always mimicked the knight on the battlefield, but now he would start seriously training.
He went to the remains of the latest battle, and against better judgement took the leather armour and sword from a fallen knight.
He went back and fixed the armour so it would fit him. He also tried restoring the sword, but could only remove a bit of rust and sharpen it.
After much thought, Frederic put on the armour, packet his back and left the villages.
On his way out, he visited his bed-ridden father and told him one thing; “I won’t return until I am a knight worthy of not only physically protecting people, but also their pride and honour.”
While walking forward, he started think “Were should I go”.
What made him doubt for a second, soon turned into clear determination: The great City of New Reza.
A place he had heard many great things about.
With newfound courage and determination, Frederic stepped forward, toward a new adventure.
Trying to stand as straight as possible, Sir Frederic answers with a straight face; “My Lord, I am looking to find a place that is willing to teach me the way of the Knight.” While the last words leaves his lips, he bows forward. During which he knocks his sword to the ground.
