Born and raised in Belvitz, Jadrien is the younger sister of four older brothers, and spent her childhood learning how to concoct a good snowball and a good insult. She also has an aptitude for writing and devoured any books she could find from a young age, glad to have access to that Heartlander resource. She spent her young-adult life bouncing from low-level job to low-level job. She always felt restless and dissatisfied, unable to repress her Heartlander ambition despite the fact that her culture disdains women in power, and had an inability to keep her mouth shut when it might be advantageous to do so. She struggled to find a place for herself in the city until being recruited into the Order of St. Emma by Marshal of Adria and Captain of the Belvitz Watch Vladan Valic, and found purpose and opportunity in the ranks of the military order. Learning how to turn her aptitude for snowball-throwing into one for archery and to spar with Vladan Valic's equal wit, she is ready to enter the depths of the Duchy of Adria's political power struggles and defend the city of Belvitz to the death.
