Garner was born on a small Homestead in the Grendock Mountains, with is Father, Gray, his Mother, Charlot, and his little brother, Micah who was just 2 years younger than him. He loved living in the mountains! He would fish in the small streams with his brother and help his father hunt, as well as help his mother cook dinner sometimes. Garner’s favorite pass time was just adventuring. Even though his mother was not very fond of it. One day Garner and his little brother Micah went out hunting with their father. When they were almost back home they spotted smoke on the horizon in the direction of their home. They rushed as fast as they could to get home. When they arrived they saw that their home was being raider by a group of bandits. Garner’s father drew his sword and told Garner and Micah to stay hidden in the trees. Garner grabbed his brother by the hand and they went deeper into the forest to stay hidden. Hours went by and night had fallen, they haven’t seen their father in hours and were worried. Hours turned into days and days into weeks. One day a group of merchants discovered the 2 boys on the side of a road, cold, tired and hungry. The merchants handed the boys some bread and water, than discussed amongst themselves what to do with the boys. The merchants decided to take the boys with them. A couple of days later the 2 boys and the merchants arrived in the Royal City of Markev. When they arrived the merchants tried to find people who would take the 2 boys in, but being in such a high esteemed city no one would have them. So the merchants decided to take the boys with them and try to find somewhere else that could take the 2. Garner and Micah ended up living with the merchants for years. When Garner had finally become and adult all he wanted to do was stay with the merchants and be a merchant himself, Micah felt the same. By the time Garner was 19 and Micah was 17 they had a lot of knowledge under their belt and could be merchants themselves. Garner and Micah begged the merchants to let them help, bring in new customers and new places to trade with!, They got their wish. Micah told Garner of this amazing city called Sutica, a city full of all kinds of races and all kinds of rich and wealthy people. So, they decided to venture there. While Garner, Micah and they merchants were on their way to the city they were ambushed by a group of raiders. Among the raiders was a magic user who seemed to be the leader. They asked no questions they just attacked. The magic caster focused on Garner’s brother Micah, Garner saw this and sprinted as fast as he could to protect his brother. He threw himself in front of a evil spell aimed for his brother. It hit Garner on the left side of his face and he passed out. He awoke to silence and darkness. He couldn’t see out of his left eye, and his head felt like it was on fire. Garner tried to get to his feet but he couldn’t. He thought to himself, “Where is Micah?”. He looked behind him and saw his brother Micah laying on the ground with an arrow sticking out of his chest. Garner stumbled over to his brothers side to see that the arrow had struck his brothers heart. He lifted his brother’s head into his lap and cried. No one survived that night, no one but Garner. As the months went on Garner felt an anger deep inside, all he wanted was justice for his brother and his merchant friends who practically raised him. Garner went from city to city asking around about this group of bandits that attacked him and his friends. One day he came across a hooded stranger by the name of Lawson. Lawson was a traveler who traveled from place to place as a sell sword. Garner begged Lawson to teach him the ways of combat but Lawson was hesitant. Finally Lawson caved and agreed to teach Garner, Garner practiced with Lawson day and night for months on end. Soon Garner was 20 and Lawson decided that it was time that the 2 went their separate ways. Garner never saw Lawson again, but now Garner was strong enough and skilled enough to hunt down the group of bandits that attacked him almost a year ago. By the time Garner finally caught up with them they were already dead, killed by a group of sell swords. Garner was happy but also mad, he thought that after they were dead that he would finally be brought peace. He still mourns the loss of his brother and friends. Garner is 21 now, and just travels from city to city, looking for purpose.
