Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: A silence filled the tent, Aegon's eyes were darting over the place, from looking at the old hag, to outside of the tent. He had never been in this town, and neither had he sent word that he'd pass through. After all, he wasn't nearly important enough for all of that. Yet for some odd reason, the old hag expected his entrance. And it had only served to creep doubt in Aegon's mind, perhaps she was a seer, but what purpose would she have with him? "Well.. My story you ask? It's.. quite boring.." a healthy dose of skepticism was ever present behind the tone of his voice. Yet he decided to press on, if she was a seer, and she expected him, there was no use in lying to her. "I grew up north, every day I remember was in the snow or in the wild. I'm not from some important family, and my life has been quite ordinary. That's why I'm travelling, I wish to explore, see the world we live in, rather than the corner I grew up in." As Aegon spoke he looked slightly down, getting brought over with a wave of Nostalgia. He's already forgotten how much time has passed since last he was in his part of the world, the part he called home. He'd like to go back there one day, maybe if the situation calls for it, maybe if he's found what he's looking for, found the thing that would fill the void that started him on the path of exploration.
