Aldric steps into the tent, his boots sinking slightly into the damp ground beneath him. He glances around, taking in the flickering candlelight and the smell of wet moss. As the old hag speaks, he hesitates, his hand briefly resting on the hilt of his sword before he speaks.
"Expecting me, huh?" Aldric says with a dry chuckle, though his voice is steady. He takes a moment, scanning her features, before sitting on the cushion she gestures to. His eyes narrow, studying her with a mix of suspicion and curiosity. "I didn’t know I had a reputation," he adds, his tone serious. "But if you're expecting me, then maybe it's time I heard what you know."
He leans forward slightly, his gaze unwavering. "As for my story… I’ve seen things, done things, that a man shouldn’t. I left behind a kingdom to escape a life of bloodshed. But it’s hard to outrun the past, and something tells me it’s catching up with me." He pauses, his eyes flickering with a mix of pain and resolve. "I came here to find answers, and maybe—just maybe—a way to make things right."
