Rei lived a mundane life in Belvitz before The Republic of Vrakai fell into anarchy. While Rei’s family was trying to escape from the city, Rei and her older brother were separated from their parents. After they escaped from the city, Rei and her older brother were taken in by an old woman who lived on the outskirts of a neighboring nation. The woman took Rei and her brother under her wing and taught them how to use swords and battle. After they’d grown to be young adults, the old woman died and Rei’s brother left to become a knight, leaving Rei utterly alone. She mourned the woman’s death for a while before she too, left. She later found that her brother died after being sent out to the Coalition War to fight against the Anti-Empire coalition. She mourned her brother’s death but pressed on, migrating to Arcas and starting her career there.
