Ione was born and raised in Elvenesse within a large family. He was the second eldest and had to take care of his younger siblings early on, but his hard work went underappreciated. When he was tasked with finding a job to help support the family, Ione discovered an interest and love for traveling on the roads. As he grew older, he realized that the earlier teachings of forefather Malin resonated deep inside of him— that nature was our friend. He also took in odd jobs, frequently working in many places at once.
He grew alongside Mali'ker and Mali'ame alike, although he was usually shy and clumsy with most. He had a small group of friends, but everyone parted ways after some began to move away, and they all fell out. But he has plans to find them again. Ione's upbringing caused a lot of emotional repression, as he had to prioritize everyone over his own needs. But now that he is approaching adulthood, he is discovering more sides to himself as he branches away from childhood burdens.
He has continued to worship his ancestors in addition to studying nature and the wonders of the wild. He does believe in some of the old Renelian traditions, such as maintaining self-preservation without disturbances of cultural clashes, but he is still open-minded to learning new philosophies every day.
Ione peers around curiously, taking in the odd feeling of comfort from the city. The thrill of travel is in his blood, and he is ready to start exploring the bustling market. There are many things to look at, choose to buy, and to taste. He stumbles to a stall— his eyes wide with excitement as he peers over various items he has never seen before.
When a well-dressed gentleman approaches the young elf with a greeting and a question of identity, Ione stops to ponder at the strange man's inquiry.
"I suppose I've come here to start a new life and make something for myself. I worship the spirits of the roads. Wherever I go I trust that my travels will guide me to the right path, and so will the world."
