Striqes

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Hello..." Gorin said, as he entered the tent, looking at the old woman with suspicion.

As Gorin passes through the flap of the tent, a powerful stench enters his nose, it is neither pleasant, nor foul, just intense.

When he stepped inside, an odd but familiar feeling passed through him. He spoke without thinking, his lips seemingly moving on their own.

"I am Gorin Rune, a traveler searching for stories" he spoke, sitting down on the cushion offered by the old woman without realizing. 

he continues, "I've heard there are many stories in these lands—of love, war, tragedy, friendships, and much more..." he continued, his hand rested on a book, a quill attached to its side.

"I aim to write down these stories and experience them for myself." He announced, his voice seemingly steady but also shaky. "There are something to these more stories—something that can only be experienced first hand".

Gorin suddenly stood, then paused. He glanced at the book attached to his waist, "Each story carries its weight, its truth. And I—!"  he stops and then glances at the old woman.
 

"I just want to experience a real adventure," Gorin said, his voice now wavering. "A true experience. Not wandering around aimlessly, hoping someone can hand it to me."

He then paused, then looked directly at the old woman.

"What about you? What's your story?"
