Sinsio Showcraft was a bastard. His mother was weak, and died before he turned 3. He was told that his mother worshipped Luara, spirit of the moon, but this was lost to Sinsio in her death, and so he grew up to honor his ancestors as she did Luana. His uncle Alphonso took him in and brought Sinsio back home with him to Darkhaven. Alphonso was a seasoned warrior with many accolades and well respected. He was one of the few of his own which successfully emigrated from Atlas. Shortly after, he joined the army of Emperor Antonius for several years. After the Sacking of Ves, Alphonso decided to leave his life in the military behind, scarred from the brutal massacre which took place, which he was apart of. He accumulated a fair amount of wealth and now lived peacefully on his more than modest estate. After retiring from war, he got involved with politics and now lived as a respected political leader in Darkhaven. Sinsio grew up to be lean and agile with skin dark as night and eyes deep violet. He had sharp, abrasive features, laughing eyes, and constantly a smile played behind his lips. He wore brighter colors and adorned himself with rubies, sapphire, and tattoos. Alphonso raised Sinsio as he would his own and taught him how to read, write, speak with nobles and properly address the upperclass of various cultures, he taught him history and culture, art and war, capitals and royal families and current events, and language. Not only did he teach him of society and civilization, but also martial arts, swordplay, and archery. Sinsio's favorite thing which his uncle taught him was how to hunt. Sinsio was born patient with sharp eyes. Hunting was a meditation for him and a personal way to honor his ancestors.
Although he loved hunting the most, what he was best at was the art of manipulation. This, he taught himself. It started with the servants; he learned how to bribe them, befriend them, read them and use them. He observed their habits and quirks and body language, listened and eavesdropped and put pieces together. It wasn't long until this became second nature. Though he could fight with sword and bow, he fought better with a silver tongue. By the age of 17 he grew to be apathetic and bored. This often lead him to trouble because he would stir pots and forsake his manners just to get a rise out of someone, just to add a little spice into every situation. He sparked ire and frustration and insecurity just to watch people squirm or inflate with anger. He enjoyed making other's laugh as well, especially in inappropriate situations. This he enjoyed nearly as much as he enjoyed making people uncomfortable.
Alphonso had wanted Sinsio to join him in politics because he knew he would do well if he were to take it seriously. Sinsio had started a path towards that goal unwillingly. Shortly after, being the impulsive man he was, he decided to leave Darkhaven. He told no one of this for there was no one he desired to tell. And so, like a thief in the night, he slipped away without a sound. He travelled as a nomad for many years, from Haelun'or to Norland, Kaedrin to the Holy Orenian Empire, not one place being his home for long, and learned much about the world. Now fate steers him to Arcos where he hopes to find adventure and mystery and hopefully a decent drink.

Sinsio looks the man up and down with skepticism. "I would appreciate the warm welcome if I didn't find you so utterly suspicious. Clearly I'm the most out of place here and quite literally 'fresh off the boat', but you don't think I know a scam when I see one?" Sinsio adjusts the bag on his shoulders with irritation. "Come and talk to me when you learn how to perform a proper con, or better yet, I'll teach one to you." He waves flamboyantly in a mocking manner and turns away.
