Like most Adunian families, Maiken’s seemed to reject tradition in favor of simply fitting into the new world they had come from. However, this is somewhat far from the original truth. Many traditions (keeping hair above shoulders, respecting New Adunian Creatorism, knowing words in Thuadian, writing in tunes when she can, and many beliefs on the place of people due to gender..) still remain in their household, but only in that. The family tends to mask their beliefs outside of the home. Maiken disagrees with her father having to choose her husband, simply wanting to work in something similar to woodworking. She enjoys the details and work of it. This isn’t to say she doesn’t love her father, who had originally taught her the craft. She holds tales from her childhood very close to her heart and uses them to judge her decisions. She often wishes to show that she can do what she promised her family she would do. She had to move from her home to Duchy of Adria, where she hopes to learn woodworking more.
