Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
The woman despite her elegantly detailed dress does not take the humble surroundings in with malice or disgust, but a soft smile. "Greetings!" She starts as she takes a seat, "I have been traveling for quite a while, it is good to get off my feet. Well where do I start..." She considers herself for a moment, breaking eye contact all the while, as if she were looking at her own story trying to read it back. "I was born Velulite to two pious individuals, growing up I was taught all about the holy trinity." She brushes her hand across her dress as if to straighten it slightly, "I was quite the diligent student, I was excited to learn about the story of what made us so unique and how we are lucky to be so gifted by the gods themselves-" She clears her throat, and starts again "But I decided that I wanted more than the life of one dedicated to solely religion, not that I have lost devotion, but I have at least a couple hundred years ahead of me" She chuckles into the back of her hand, slightly closed. "Jokes aside I know I'm young and have plenty more life than that left, but I'm a simple lady, and I want to see the world while I still can. I want to travel, meet people, learn about myself and what it means to be an individual."
