She has no memory of her parents whatsoever, she was found underneath an apple tree by a loving worker couple that made their way into the city looking to sell their mined ores of ferrum from the vast mines.
The two hard working cave dwarves took on the responsibility of raising that child which they named after the engraved name on the iron bracelet the baby wore the day she was found beneath the woods: “Jokroda”.
Despite her not knowing her parents there were rumours of her father losing his life during the war against the Krugmar yet the fate of her mother remains unknown but she may have died as a casualty of the war aswell.
When Jokroda reached the age of 11 her guardians took her on a ride to a forest she hasn’t seen before. Forest dwarf runes could be seen carved on certain trees. The worker couple had to leave Jokroda in someone else’s care due to them having financial issues. They couldn’t bear watching the girl they raised not being properly fed. She was welcomed by an old looking forest dwarf just a few inches taller than her as soon as she entered the deep woods she was brought to.
Over the years Jokroda has learned some things about dwarven history, culture and religion, specifically the culture of forest dwarfs - She knew about Yemekar, the story of Urguan, forest dwarfs attitude towards nature and other things, but because she had no academic sources anywhere around, she couldn't get to know many details, more of the most important things the forest dwarf could teach her...
She started to see the old dwarven man as a sort of father figure.
Concerning the fact that Jokroda never actually had a loving family except for the old forest dwarf who passed away shortly after she turned the age 30, she isn’t familar with compassion and being empthatic.
She acts very warily towards strangers she meets during her journeys without losing sight of the result she hopes to see at the end of her journey.
