He was born a plump child, giggling as his mother held him. He was born in Varhelm, the Capitol of Norland, where his father presided as a tavern keep. His family was kept busy there, though not due to his father's work. They were making plans to leave the capital to potentially get money, for they were a very poor family. They finally ran into this opportunity when the Barony of Krew was established. The Daly family, which by that point consisted of a 7 year old Bairn, a 4 year old sister named Brigit, and his mother and father, Bevan and Brandan respectively, travelled to the the newly founded Barony in 50 SA. However, while climbing the mountain that the Barony of Krew was located, Brigit stumbled and fell off the side of the mountain, plummeting. The young Bairn lunged to grab her, but instead she took him with her. He hugged his sister as he fell, protecting her but resulted in him hitting his head and injuring himself. He never again was as gleeful a man since then, and refuses to climb or be above the ground at all. At the age of 10, his father started to train him in the ways of brewing, teaching him how to make an assortment of alcohols, through which Bairn discovered his passion. He and his father grew very close through brewing, and even his sister became interested in winemaking after watching Bairn's fluent and clear understanding of the craft. Then, 17 years after moving to the Barony of Krew, an call upon those present in Norland has been issued to enlist, which scared Bairn. He hugged his family, sensing that it will go from a call to a draft, and flees. With no-where to go, he heads aimlessly, though in the general direction of Karosgrad.
He stops and gives a big jostling smile, though there is no sincerity behind it. "Uh, 'ello, U'm looking fer uh place ta roon a tavern, so's ta get a job as tavernkeep." He puts his hands on his belly, nodding a bit. "Aye, Yu know anywhere 'at can 'elp meh oon that?"
The friendly man would grin wider with the nice response "A tavernkeep? Oh wonderful! I'm afraid we are already stuffed full of taverns at the moment, but I can put in a good word for you to join one!" He replies, unwavering in his expression.
"Is 'at soo? Uh dunnay this area, so's you'll shoo meh ta em, aye?" Bairn outstretches an arm to the man, his chubby hand centered between the two.
"Certainly, right this way!" The welcoming man doesn't take the handshake, but does offer a gesture to follow him. They walk towards the shops, smiling incessantly for the remainder of their time.
