Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Ezekiel would accept the offer, taking a seat carefully onto the cushion. The man wondered about the smell, but didn't complain.
"It has been some time, but I have come in search of my older brothers."
He would wait for the woman to respond, but after a short awkward silence, he decided to continue talking.
"My brothers, Gabriel and Samuel. They left some time ago, and left me to clean things up back home. Things haven't turned around, and things have only gotten worse. But, that's in the past. I have news for them, and honestly, am a little unsure of where to go from here."
The man would look around, listening to the woman explain how she didn't quite remember meeting these people, but she mentioned that the names seem familiar. After Ezekiel gladly accepts the little information that the woman had to offer, he would begin to thank her for her time.
"Well, thank you for your time." The man, eager to pursue the directions he was given, would nod to the woman, before thanking her one last time, and exiting the rugged tent.
