Alduir Oakshoulder was the last son of Kirin Oakshoulder and his wife Almeda. As a boy Alduir often spend time with his mother as his father and older brothers fought in countless battles during the Inferni war each time coming home in worse condition than they left. Alduir's time with his mother helped him formulate his love for academia as his mother helped teach him about dwarven history, law and philosophy. After Alduir's father was paralyzed in battle, the family's primary goal was taking care of him and many of his lessons ceased. As a result of the Oakshoulder family no longer sending as many soldiers to battle their status in dwarven society dropped significantly and there were talks of the family leaving Kal'Varoth. Alduir resented his father and his brothers for engaging in war and could only think about the countless number of families they had destroyed and considered what happened to his father justice for their wrongdoing. Alduir does not dream of becoming a great king or even a warrior, he instead dreams of learning all that interests him and using that knowledge to be himself and those who associate with him. Alduir's main goal in life is to open his own a business and teach those around him as much as he can, his philosophy in life is that further education of the masses will lead to less war and better quality of life for all. Oakshoulder has debated changing his family name on multiple occasions but he is determined to rebuild the reputation of his family although not through military feats but through feats of education and interpretation of law.
"What brings me to this lovely city you ask?" Alduir says as he stretches his legs from a long journey. "I come here pursuing knowledge and a place to call my own. (Alduir steps closer to the man). "I have a desire for knowledge that I must quench and many of the common folk from Kal'Varoth can't seem to understand that hence the reason I am here. I wish to use my knowledge to make a name for myself and become a well established individual within society. Now if you would kindly point me to the nearest tavern I require a drink before continuing my journey."
