    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: The main way I can think of is an honor system, honestly. With however many hundreds of people are in the server, I doubt it's possible to police everyone, so other than publicly shaming anyone and everyone who powergames, I'm out of ideas.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Outside of being cheating and just generally a douchebag thing to do? It disrupts the flow of information, ruins the separation between player and character, and Just Sucks In General.

Physical Description: Tobias is roughly five foot nine inches tall, with curly brown hair and greenish-gray eyes. He's almost always wearing fancy armor, albeit damaged.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Ah, well, you see..." He trails off, removing his helmet and running a hand through matted hair with a grimace. "...I got lost. But adventure has led me here, and here I am! So, if there are any ogres lurking in the swamp that need slaying, perhaps a hydra or two, then I, the (self-proclaimed) Dawn Knight, will aid you!" The man leaps to his feet, hands on his hips as he poses in armor that was shiny at one point, and is currently caked in mud and grime. "Just, ehm, as soon as I can find my sword."
