Burt Horne is average bartender who enjoys helping travellers on their quest whatever those may be. He helps them by owning a tavern where he can provide rest and a place to stay for anyone who has got the money. Burt lives alone in his tavern, and loves it when people stop by for a drink. He can make any drink you ask for, can cook anything you desire. He doesn't enjoy fighting but if he must he will do anything to protect his tavern. His parents first came to Atlas when he was 21, they then began crossing through the desert trying to find a nice place to build their farm, the family settled down in the forest. They never made it leaving Burt as the only survivor, he was 20 at the time and had no family or anyone who cared or could take care of him. He eventually found someone who brought him in and taught him how to cook and serve drinks. Burt worked as a waiter for many years at his master's tavern. Shortly after his arrival Burt's master died of a terrible disease but on his death bed his master gave him the deed to his tavern. Burt now owns and lives at the tavern and wants to carry out his master's goal of being one of the most popular taverns in Atlas. Burt and his family were Highlanders and were apart of Hanseti people. Although the Hanseti people were warrior-like men Burt hated war and violence even though he was more than capable of being a great soldier. Burt and his family never believed in religion unlike the rest of their people, they took no part in any religion events or prayers.
