Bedwyr Perry was born in the wooded outskirts of Senntisten to a poor fishwife and a transient elf. He grew up under the care of his mother and aunts, doing various work around the home and, after his mother passed and he turned 16, joined a company of foresters. He was wounded by a falling tree and brought to Santegia, whereafter a long period of recovery he came into the employ of a local merchant. He became somewhat of a recluse there, working long hours at the pier into the night, and returning to a straw bed in a garret in the early morning. Driven nearly insane by his isolation and the filth of the city, he has stowed away in a the hold of a ship, and is borne off to environs unknown...

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
