Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Lyra looks to the elderly woman with an oddly blank stare, though her eyes gave away her inner thoughts. How did she end up in such a place? Her favorite -and only- dress covered in dots of mud and grime, her hair once spoiled and brushed now tangled with its flowers loosely hung and wilted.. she didn't look at all ready to travel, let alone leave the land she was once at. Nonetheless, here she was, now sheepishly brushing down her dress and having a seat on the cushion offered to her. Now how did this woman know her? She had no idea. It caught her off guard, but she didn't bother thinking about it for the time being. First things first, she had to rest her legs. She muttered a thanks, her hands clasped and sat awkwardly on her lap. Ignoring the embarrassment of barging in some stranger's tent in such a mess, she was relieved she wasn't reprimanded for it. A little foolish of Lyra to be so normal about intruding herself into a stranger's space, but it seems this time it was in her favor.

"I appreciate you havin' me." Lyra finally speaks, clearing her throat and looking around the tent. She was watching the suspended candles as though their little flames were holding onto her story for her. Or maybe it was to avoid what would've likely been prolonged eye-contact. One of the two. "Well.. uhm.. for starters, if you hadn' already noticed.." She pauses to gesture at herself with a free hand and a breathy chuckle. "I'm not from here. I've been travelin' long and wide."  Her voice was hoarse, but soft. Her hand returned to her other as she took a deep breath, his gaze moving on to finally meet with the kind stranger. "It's been some time too, just going out and about. Ran into some other kind strangers, such as yourself, just helping me go along the way."

"I don't really have.. a story story, y'know? I'm just a lady who got bored of home and had the legs to move." Lyra jokes with a giggle as she once again fixes at her dress. "Say, you.. ma'am.." She pauses, a bit hesitant about the question that sat on the back of her mind. "..What'dya mean by expectin' me? Did a fellow already tell you about me?"
