    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using OOC knowledge in an RP Situation. This means using knowledge that you might know but your character shouldn't know in their place in the RP.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is when you force consequences on another character, implying that you succeed. Such as saying that you kill someone without giving them a chance to reply, rather than saying you go for a kill to give them at least a chance.

Arratus Crowe, Son of Elbron and Camilla Crowe, was born a Heartlander on the Fourth Day of the Deep Cold in 1636. His family has moved many times for the first few years of his life, until they finally settled at the then newly founded settlement of Presa De Madera in 1642. While it remained a mystery for his whole life why his family was always moving, Arratus focused more on living a life in the city. He studied basic combat under his father and learned history under his mother. At age 18, Elbron was planning to join the city guard. When he returned home to his family, he found both his mother and father dead. Upon seeing that everything he had was gone, Arratus decided to leave home and go traveling. He's been roaming the lands ever since, seeking to learn the cultures of other regions and people. One could argue that he is a man ahead of his time.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
