    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: It is metagaming if I would use OOC information e.g. heard on TS or elsewhere and would use it ingame, so that my character suddenly would know more than he should. Running to an ‚event‘ or any action I heard OOC where my char would stay in his house because he hasn’t heard of it. If one wanted to be very strict, then even looking onto the map where a friend is located and then searching for him there would be already meta.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is two things.
    - One would be to create an character which is powerful, very intelligent, beautiful, is a good sword master and a very brilliant mage too etc…
    - More difficult to avoid is acting for you RP partner, e.g., writing that you hit him instead of saying that you just will attempt to hit him.

Tirrin stepped on the quayside and looked around. She adjusted her pannier when she saw that she was approached by a well-dressed gentleman who looked upon her with a big smile. “Welcome!” He began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?”
She looked at him with big eyes and  turned around, looking for somebody who might stand behind her.
„Sir?“ she asked. Her brows arched. She straitened her back,  her hands were slightly trembling though, so she hid them inside her garb quickly but could not avoid to pale.
„Sir, you are joking, I’m just a poor maiden who is looking for work. If you excuse me, I have to go!“
Quickly she stepped to the side, with the intention to hurry to the near gates of the town.
