    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is essentially optomizing your character to where you ignore other elements of the roleplay such as story and character development for the sole purpose of making your character overpowered and stronger then everyone else.

Khaan is a young man who was born and raised on a farm of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, he has two other brothers Corazon and Brog they are all Highlanders.  Khaan has always dreamed of fighting in war and becoming a great warrior with sword and shield in hand.  As he grew older he realized he wasn't able to build up his muscles as much as his brothers.  One thing Khaan did get is height, he was taller than average height.  One day while walking around his town he saw several elven archers walking through the market with their large long bows and elegant poise, Khaan intrigued follow the elves all day and they became his idol.  Khaan then began wanting to become an archer, if he couldn't hold a heavy sword and shield, he'd have a bow and arrow in hand instead.  Khaan began hunting in the woods to get more food for his family, and on top of that he could practice his archery skills.  Khaan and his brothers were always also very invested in the Church of Cannon due to their parents influence.  As Khaan began to find his place in the world he was quite cheerful and happy, even if he doesn't show it.  Khaan was the youngest of his brothers, and always looked out for them, though while hunting he was not always in the fray, he'd keep an eye on the situation from afar like how he approached most things in life.  Khaan now hopes to be an accomplished archer, and life a happy life.

Physical Description: Khaan is a tall lanky young man, he has wavy reddish/brown hair, green eyes, and a slender nose. He has light skin and is not muscular.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Welcome to the server! You'll be whitelisted soon enough. Until then, I'd just continue looking through the forums and read some of the posts in the various subsections: in particular the posts that have to do with the Humans, Haense in particular, so you can get a good grasp of what their general lore and culture is. I'd also highly recommend joining this chat if you have discord, https://discord.gg/eySYjqw: Here you can ask questions and there'll be multiple people, with knowledge of different areas of the server, who can help answer them. Once you've been whitelisted and create your persona, I'd recommend taking your time to understand how the role-play chat mechanics work in Cloud Temple and just get a solid grasp of RP in general there. Once again if you've got questions, don't hesitate to let me or another AT know!
