    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Usually before I start a roleplay in other games I play, I talk with the other players to discuss the small rules of the roleplay session to make sure I won't make a mistake. I do like to write a lot of fanfiction, so it's kind of become a habit to relay the expected emotion a character is supposed to have after something happening and I've had it happen that I wirte someone's else character's reaction by accident when I'm not concentrated completely on what I'm wirting, but i do apologise and suggest we just ignore the part where I mentioned their character and let them explain how their oc would actually react. On the unrealistic, unfair and godly actions I don't think it'll be a problem that much since I've never liked to play a fully in the spotlight character. I usually like to play a reoccurring characters that are helpful but not hero of the story important. I usually try to be as fair and realistic as I can and I always tell the players that I roleplay with to tell me if they think something I did was unfair or unrealistic so I know what to change in the future.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: From what I've read metagaming is used mainly by people who want to have an advantage on others. If I noticed someone knowing information they shouldn't I'd ask them how they got it and then if they said from a person I'd probably talk to them or tell an admin, if they avoided the question entirely and changed the subject I'd posed the roleplay to inform an admin/moderator and ask how to continue, since sometimes the leak might be small like some loot they didn't know we had or bigger like my team was planning an attack that should've been a surprise, though it'd still result in a confrontation in which a mod or admin would be needed

Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

"Hello madam, I'm sorry for intruding but I seem to be lost." She responds with a kind tone in her voice while he slowly walks closer to the old hag. In her mind she was surprised anyone was even in this abandoned town.

 

Theodore's eyes glance at the cushion and after a second she sits down. "I'm not sure i have an interesting story madam, just the usual lost girl trying to find her purpose."
