    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using the knowledge you personally know without your character having a good reason to know it. If I were to read a bit of OOC information about a character on discord, and then use that information against that character in-game it would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Using unrealistic emotes and actions to gain an unfair advantage. If I were to say that an attack was unblockable, or was I forcing actions on someone, I'd be power gaming.
