Kieran Magnus was born into a family of bureaucrats and lower merchants. His parents were caring but fervent souls- beatings were common if the small babe went against the law of the house. Education wise, Kieran was a mixed bag. He never did very well in any of his schooling; He took better to sports and church happenings. By the time he was in his late teens he had a tenuous relationship with his family, who were very close to sending him off to work for a chapel. This ended up happening a few years- with the young lad being sent off to a church to serve as a Canonist. He stayed in this position until he was eighteen. The next two years would see him wandering from place to place looking for work- until now. He wants to do something more permanent, a career of sorts. As a heartlander, and an educated one at that, he’ll probably find himself in a position of mediocre comfort. That is not his plan, however, he wishes to see action and acquire fortune as a sword for hire.
