“I-I’m looking for help to find a ship to Sutica,” Umbra asks nervously in the common language.
“I would suggest the docks, it’s just down this path to the right, there’s always ships there,” the gentleman replies.
"Alright, thank you, sir.”
Umbra bows to the man before continuing down the path as he walks, he passes through a open-air market with people selling baked goods, fruits, and clothes. The clothes were just shirts and pants but they were quite foreign to him. He slaps his cheeks to bring his focus back to the task at hand of finding a ship to Llyria, Umbra moves further into the market to escape it as he spots a baked goods stand, selling some kind of bread filled with some kind of purple liquid and sugar sprinkled on top. It looked scrumptious but if he bought it he probably couldn’t buy his way on the ship to Llyria. Umbra sadly moves along as he finally exits the market of his desires. Umbra finally arrives at the dock to spot 4 ships that either seem to b unloading shipments, loading shipments, or passengers, wearing fancy clothing. Probably nobles, Umbra made his way to the first unloading ship. “Hello, are you delivering goods from Sutica,” Umbra asks one of the sailors, who appears to be a dwarf in front of the first ship.
“No, this is from Urguan,” the dwarven sailor replies before moving away with a barrel on his shoulders.
Umbra goes to the next ship that has the passengers, who look at him in disgust like he was beneath them, probably cause of my clothes. Umbra sighs and finds a sailor who’s helping usher the nobles off the ship. “”Hello, is this to Sutica.”
“No, this is to The Holy Orenian Empire,” the sailor replies.
Umbra makes his way to the last third ship that seems to be loading barrels and crates onboard, he sees what looks like a human woman with feathered hat that seems to be directing them, he walks up to the woman, “Hello, ma’am. Sorry if I’m interrupting is this to Sutica.”
“Sorry lad, this is to Sutica. I think that ship over there is Sutica, I believe,” The woman points to the last ship.
“Thank you, ma’am.”
Umbra walks to the next ship, but as he drew nearer, his throat went dry as his nerves began to grow. He breathe before, asking one of the sailors, “May I ask where you captain is.”
“He's onboard, but why do you want to meet him,” the dwarf turns around with a gruff look on his face
“I’m hoping to go to Sutica to find some work and live there,” Umbra explains as bounces on his heels.
“Follow me, but if you try anything, you’ll be wishing you were dead.”
The dwarf picks up a crate on his shoulder as Umbra follows with his nerves raising again, the dwarf leads him on deck that’s bustling with sailors washing the deck and securing the shipments. the dwarf leads him to a open door, where a man can be seen reading a map, “Oh, Thrasgrad , who is this.”
“Just some lad that wants a ride to Sutica,” the dwarf snorts.
“Hello, lad. I’m Captain Usuan,” the captain reaches his hand out as he looks up at me.
“Umbra,” he takes the hand and gives a firm handshake. “I can give some Mina as compensation.”
“That was already going to be decided since traveling cost money, even if we’re heading there,” The captain explains.
“I have 800 Mina, will that be enough,” Umbra asks.
“Yes, that will be enough,” the captain holds his hand out.
Umbra hands a bag of coins to the captain, “Here you go.”
“just rest on the deck until we’re ready to go.”
Umbra exits the office as he finally feels that his look is turning around for the better. He sits down by a railing and waits for the ship to begin moving.
