Much is unknown of Valkar Stone. He lived in the wilderness for most of his adult life, and only emerged at the conclusion of the war between Renatus-Marna and Norland. After hearing the tales of war heroes, Valkar wanted to carve his name into the stones of time. When he departed the forest he came to find himself on the outskirts of Kastrovy that bordered Senntisten. He was met by 5 men from the county. Still bearing his reclusive and hostile tendencies from years alone in the wild, Valkar attacked the men. He held his own but was overcome by the bulk of them. As Alfrik Kastrovat was about to heave the execution ax through Valkar's neck, Ser Marek Kastrovat raised his hand to signal a halt of the execution. Impressed with the raw aggression and power of Valkar, he invited him to dine with him that evening. Slowly but surely after every mug of mead Valkar began to open up, telling stories of his gruesome childhood, and brutal years surviving the elements. While only a short time had pass Ser Marek developed a deep respect for Valkar and Valkar in turn began to trust the Count.
