Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Vex admires the floating candles with a whimsical smile gracing his lips.
He reaches up with a slim callused hand, gently touching a candle to see what would happen.
Curiosity satiated for now Vexus turned to face the Hag proper.
"Hiya, quite the place you've got here Ms. Hag." Vexus takes a step which could very easily be confused as a skip towards the chair.
"The journey was absolutely filled with trials, and wow!" Vexus slides into the offered chair. "Some of those orcs do have a rude attitude."
Looking around Vexus observed the various pieces of hanging totems scattered through the tent. He noted the lingering scent of rot and swampy moss was slightly at bay with the smells of incense and burning wax.
"I come from the Elven Woods but really I prefer to say I am a man of the world. I love to explore and collect bits and pieces from here and there. I've actually been in trouble a few more times than I would like to admit because of it." Vexus giggles, a memory seemingly flitting across his imagination.
"As you may know, I've actually come for some roots that grow native to your swamps. A piece of un-gnarled Moontree Root for the wizard on the other side of the ravine. It must be un-gnarled as the wizard is using it for a new staff! Exciting stuff, really, to watch them craft it from scratch from all sorts of things." The excitement clear in his eyes shimmer in vibrant tones of green and gold.
"Would you be able to help me find some?"
