    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the act of using OOC information to your own advantage ICly. For example, your character being proficient in magic or sword fighting because you have read about it OOCly, even though your character has taken no steps to be proficient in either.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Carrying out unrealistic or unfair actions. For example, not giving someone else a chance to react to your action. Or being invincible.

Kajsa stepped along the gang-plank leading onto the hard ground of the dock. Her eyes drifted around the city, it was bigger than she ever could have imagined. She had never seen anything like this. Kajsa had seen large markets, but never something as sprawling and vast as this. She didn't know where to start looking for her sibling, or whether she would be able to even pick up her trail in this vast location. She was snapped out of her thoughts by the punctuating voice of the gentleman in front of her. Kajsa nodded in response to his welcome, listening to the question he posed. "I'm looking for someone. About, 2 inches shorter than me, long brown hair, incredibly sarcastic. Have you seen her? She's hard to miss. Sticks out like a sore thumb." Kajsa tilted her head to the side slightly as she awaited a response.
