    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is utilizing knowledge your character doesn't or wouldn't know in-character to your advantage. An example of this would be receiving information over discord by another user and using that in-character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming takes place when an individual's character does unrealistic or impossible actions. It includes but is not limited to forcing actions on others or possessing godlike qualities.

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. You must show an understanding of quoted dialogue and exposition throughout the scenario.

Mossin takes in his surroundings after stepping off the boat. He observes the activity around him, analyzing it and scribbling it down in his notes. 

He is caught off guard by the man approaching him, and closes his book. He looks up with a grin and responds, "I'm here to learn, to develop my own skills. Perhaps to even settle down. What the future holds, I don't know, but I can only hope for the best."

Physical Description: Mossin is lanky, has blue eyes and white hair that conceals his ears. His attire consists of an undershirt and a robe.
