Fyrian Sayegh is a fiercely protective, intuitive, and adventurous person, but his tendency to crumble under pressure and how quickly he succumbs to temptations allow him to be easily used. He is highly perceptive, and his keen eyes never miss a thing, but he constantly doubts his own abilities, especially his worth as an archer.
He was born to a family of Qalasheen farfolk, sandwiched between an older brother and a younger sister. Though he was born in a desert tribe in Atlas, he grew up in Haense after the move to Arcas- the first kingdom to accept the people of the Kadarsi Caliphate to live on their lands. From an early age, his parents encouraged him to explore and learn, and sparked within him a thirst for discovery. They gave him and his siblings a well-rounded education to prepare them for whichever path or career they chose to take, and taught them how to use basic weaponry. Fyrian’s parents often took their children to see prominent cities and landmarks across Arcas.
Fyrian has a large red birthmark across his neck and face. It has a tendency to draw stares, even disdainful looks- and it became especially protuberant when his family traveled. He is naturally weak-willed, and constant remarks about it over his childhood have drained his confidence and made him self-conscious. Fyrian wears a scarf to cover the birthmark whenever possible, and only those closest to him have ever seen him without it. The scarf acts as sort of safety net for him.. he feels vulnerable without it, and it brings him comfort. To lose it would devastate him.
At the age of 18, he set out on his own. He’s worked some odd jobs, and camped in some odd places, but Fyrian doesn’t wish for much; only a good meal each day and a comfortable place to rest each
night. Though, lately, he’s found himself.. longing for something. He.. can’t quite say what. But, he feels restless- and ready to start a new adventure.
