    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is basically doing out of the ordinary for your character. You can make your character know something that the character would never have known, if not for your outside knowledge. So just keep outside info seperate from in-game rp.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is just basically making yourself OP. You can make yourself dodge every attack, one shot someone, or doing something ridiculous for the character.

(I didn’t know where to put this info so I’ll put it here. For the timezone thing, where I live its Pacific time zone, but right now I’m in Korea for summer vacation so yeah.)

 

Qivyre grew up by himself in the city of Fenn. He didn’t have any parents after they never came back after an expidition to the east in the mountains. He only found solace in his one goal of to rank up as an officer in the army. However, because of his strangeness and solitude, he was often looked down on by other snow elves. Nonetheless, he still persevered and at the age of 50, the time came for him to be promoted. He was top of his rank and a good fighter for his age. But, life always finds a way to always mess with Qivyre. Qivyre was framed for predijuice by his comrades, hoping to strip him of his reputation and rank. He went on trial and of course, lost. He was sentenced to imprisonment for life, but before he could bounded, he escaped to the eastern mountains. There he hid for days, his arm even freezing entirely. He was saved by a man who was chopping wood nearby and brought him back to his little hut. He nursed him back to health and when he came too, something was not right with him. With all that trauma and rage boiling inside him, there was little humanity left in him. He grabbed the man’s axe and killed the very man who saved him. He left soon after, wandering the realm. With nothing on his mind, he goes around doing whatever it takes to survive.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
