He was born in 1599. He was the younger brother of Will FrostStorm, he was the son of William FrostStorm. But when he was born due to the family being poor he was sent to live for a time with an other family. When he became 15 he heard of where his brother resided and heard the sad story of a brother's death he never met, his mother's death and the death of his father. All this angered and saddened Ian who wanted to go live with his older brother. He became 18 and left searching for his brother. He heard rumors that his brother resided in Urugan  .His 2 year quest of finding him was over. He met him again after so many years. Together they lived and together they moved to Atlas to go far from the long winter that began in their previous land.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
