You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh? Tell you story hmm? Does not my muck tell you all? Expected me did you not?" he says, already ignoring the hag and scrounging around the tent. "I come from the deep, DEEP warrens, you have herby-sprouts and new shrooms up in your swamp-land no?" He says, sniffing a candle. The hag gently but firmly takes away the candle. "Yes we do have those things but please, sit, although not on the cushion please". He sits down on the wet ground, picks up a handful of damp dirt and tastes it. "Hmm, not like high soil. Okay okay, I tell you about me but you must tell me about the sun-surface." He says rubbing the soil onto his leg. "I am Ik'grat Mushmire, I was born in the deep warrens beneath your very feet, and there I learned of the meaning of TRUE honor, unlike those base low goblins. Me tended the precious shrooms of the deep that my clan prospered from, but as I tended the great mush-grove I pondered 'Why does this mush sustains us and others kill us? And yet I see Great-Shaman use other mushroom to save the dying?' Do you not wonder the same?" The hag sits up, covering her nose. "Yes I do occasionally, but that is what the alchemists do, it is not my passion". "Alchemist? What are they?" He says. "Oh, they takes herbs and other materials and brew them into potions with magical affects. They can restore life and they can bring death, they can bring forth liquid fire and they can-" "Where can I find one such as these?" Ik'grat interrupts. A bit taken aback the hag answers "Oh! Well... I don't know of any myself but you may be able to ask around town and if not here there may be other places where one resides-Wait where are you going!" Ik'grat was already gone, off searching for someone like the hag had described.
