    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Telling your character is doing something that he can't realistically do.

This is the story of Connor Wylde.

Connor Wylde was born in 1643 in a poor family who fled from Axios.
He only had 3 sisters so he and his dad had to work in the mines. 

 

One day the mine collapsed and Connor saw his father being crushed before his eyes. 
Connor was the only survivor but because he had seen those gruesome images he was traumatised and didn't want to talk for 2 years.
When he finnaly wanted to talk his voice sounded growling. 

 

The family had to sell their house because their father was no longer there to make money and Connor was scared to go in the mines again.
After living on the street for a year his youngest sister, Mary, got sick and died in her sleep.

A few days later the army wanted to recruit young boys to become knights.
Connors mother said he had to participate so that he could have a better life.

He left his family behind and joined the knights.

 

In his training he had to kill other boys to prove himself to his leader. 
He was left in cold mountains where he had to fight against wild animals. 
He lived in the mountains for five months.

After the training of his survival instincts he was picked up and he was ready to join the Knights.

 

After 3 years of training his leader said he had to kill a thief and gave him a location. 
When he arrived at the location he saw his older sister who said his mother and sister where killed by the knights. 
Connor was furious and went to his leader, he killed him and fled.

 

His story will devellop from this point...

Character Age: 25
Physical Description: Connor is a silent man who is smart but sometimes his aggression takes over and he can become very dangerous. His weapons of choice are a bow and axe
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Your application has been placed under pending for the following reasons along with some suggestions -

- Include where on Axios your persona's family was from

- What exactly was this order of Knights? Knightly orders typically must be from the server lore or a current organization in the server, usually required an application

- Regarding the point above, I recommend not saying that your persona served in an order of Knights

- Please avoid the whole "killed the others around his age, survived in etc, etc, etc." as this tends to be overused quite often; be original, we want to see how creative you can be

- Also do avoid the "betrayal of an order, turn against leader and kill him, etc, etc." as this also is overused like the point stated above

- Finally, I'd recommend giving a few personality traits and perhaps some traits as well: though this is up to you
