His father died by the hands of the nobles for not being able to pay his taxes. After his death the mother fell into despair and had no reason to live anymore. But one day a Highlander came and fell in love with my mother. They had a successful marriage in his (the characters) hometown Halsworth. But sadly they got murdered by a group of bandits. And so the journey of the wandering Caith begins.

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
