    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Having your character act like they know more than they do. Like avoiding traps and the sort.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Forcing others to comply to your will through the way that you word your actions.

Aelfinn Drakon was born to Snow Elves in the Citadel of Acael, Princedom of Fenn to the Baron, Corak Drakon a descendant of House Tundrak nobility. He has spent his first six decades learning the art of war and magic, and is now a well trained foot soldier. He wishes someday to become of high nobility or high military status so he can change the world. Even so he does show considerable loyalty to his people and his family, and will come if the danger to help them despite not agreeing with them entirely, for he hopes they can change in the future. Aelfinn sees how closed the snow elves doors are to outsiders, and how militaristic and strict they are. Aelfinn is usually a calm and pleasant person to be around, but when he is angry he can become a bit reckless. Also he tries to be an observant onlooker, but sometimes is oblivious to the obvious. He is a bit disturbed by how little about the other Kingdoms and races is written and collected in the great Citadel. He started his adventure out into the world for three reasons, to fill his mind with history and culture of the continent, to have a great adventure, and lastly to get away from his own militaristic society. He hopes to find someone to travel and have adventure with, and he started his adventure by traveling to the Grand Library of Dragur.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

  • Your definition of metagaming is somewhat lacking. Take another look at the rules or even google it, just make sure to define it in your own words!
  • I do not know if the Baron you mentioned was/is an actual character on the server, as I am not up to date on the current Snow Elven government. If it is, please have them PM so I know. If not, that's fine. You cannot normally include someone's character in your application without having their consent, and as I do not see mention of their consent, I have to assume it's a no-go if they are an actual player.
