Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Penelope greets the old lady with a slight bow and a simple "Greetings.". Despite her confused expression, she does as she is told and sits down, as to be polite. For a few seconds, she looks the old lady in the eyes, awkwardly straightening her posture and keeping her hands in her lap. She clears her throat, then begins "Well, if it truly interests you, I'm nobody special. I grew up in a household with two younger sisters, both whom are married off now and living their own lives. Father was a politician, and only let them marry the men he approved of. But I... didn't want something so simple, live the rest of my life stuck in a house, as a mother and wife. So, I ultimately left my hometown, and have been travelling ever since. Perhaps searching for a companion or two, some sort of career. Then I stumbled across your tent, and felt inclined to enter." She pauses, then continues on when she remembers another detail of her life "My mother would always visit my father in court, as one does for their husband. So I rarely saw either of them, and if they weren't in court, they were at the tavern. I played a guardian role when they were gone, for my two younger sisters. But now that they're married, I have nobody to take care of, and nobody to keep me busy." She looks back at the old lady, awaiting any kind of response, not knowing herself how this woman had managed to get this information out of her so easily...
