    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Finding/using some means in real life to improve the skills/abilities/knowledge of your character in-game.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Using unfair abilities or doing/saying something that makes you overpowered and ruins the fun for others. Kind of like what a child does at a playground with saying something like that their character can't die because he's all the sudden immortal.

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes.

"Well, I'm alike any other aboard this boat, I come seeking work." (The man looks slightly disappointed, having heard the same story over and over.) "Perhaps, I seek a little adventure as well..." (The man looks at Alaeric with a wide grin once more) "Well then, perhaps you aren't like any other traveler. Tell me, what is your name?" "Alaeric" "Well met goodman, it is rare to see someone with aspirations beyond common work or getting into a noble's good graces. I feel you will be a most interesting addition to our fine city." (Alaeric heaves his heavy bag of equipment over his front and drapes it over his back.) "I sure hope so; farewell, I have work to find." "And it would seem I have more work in front of me. Safe journeys traveler. May our paths cross again soon."
