    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When roleplaying i do not strive to be a main character or more important than anyone who i may be interacting with. Roleplaying for me is about creating a collaborative story and that is much harder when you prioritize yourself over others. When someone may powergame with me i try my best to understand why they may desire a specific outcome enough to resort to that sort of behavior. Worst comes to worst i will alert a moderator to oversee the interaction.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I find that it is SO much harder to roleplay a situation when i already know the outcome or information that may change my characters actions in the scene. Metagaming causes a character to disingenuously behave and that can cause a ripple in the story in the future unfairly impacting everyone involved.

Physical Description: mercy is 6 feet tall and pale, around 120 pounds sporting a blonde buzz cut. green eyes and simple tattered clothes adorn them.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Mercy wordlessly stumbles to the chair the crone motioned to, scanning the room taking specific interest in the candles floating above. She contemplates a moment looking down at her hands then back up to the lady slightly unnerved. "I'm mercy and i don't have much in the way of a story, nothing grand or interesting but what i do have is a fascination in what you do. I would like to learn your ways crone in hopes it may help me as I venture through these lands learning and documenting more of it. This world is connected i know you can feel it. I think its about time it feels more that way dont'cha think?" mercy smiles wide at the old lady hoping to get though to her.
