Hod was born in Reedsborough to a Brewer/Farmer father. His mother left at a young age and Hod and his father moved away in shame. Hod always blamed himself for his mother leaving but he found solace in work and talking to visitors and travelers. He spent the rest of his childhood learning to farm and fish until his father passed from illness.
Hod then packed up his things and moved around as a traveling fisherman. He spent most days in the woods by streams fishing, smoking pipe-weed and singing hymns to himself. He always loved to talk to anyone that would lend him an ear and spent most of his time in town at the local tavern. He only lasted a few years traveling as his sticky fingers got him in trouble in many entrepots around Sutica. This lead him to wanting to find to find a home but scared to do so. Therefore, he remains a wandering tradesmen, overlooked by many but enjoyed by the few that give him the time of day. He travels for Dunshire, hoping to find community once again. He longs for fishing in Dunshire lake during the day and drinking with friends under the melon tree at night.
