Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

*A man loomed in the entry of the tent, dripping wet from his long trudge through the swamp. He hesitated before furthering inside, but sat where the witch had instructed him. Clearing his throat, he fixed his eyes on hers.
"Shipwreck claimed my vessel, and the sea cast me ashore with nothing but my name - Gardwyn."
Gardwyn paused, uncertain whether he should reveal himself to the witch. Surely, if she had been waiting for him, she already knew his story—perhaps even his fate. Confusion and desperation gnawed at him, yet beneath it flickered a fragile spark of hope. He knew he must do whatever it took to find a way home. He needed information about this land, and answers on how he might return to his.
"You, madam, look to be human… Tell me, have you heard of the Adunians?" he asked excitedly.
"I descend from a splinter tribe, long ago severed from our kin after the banishment. Where others sought Al’Ildic, my ancestors turned east of Laurelin and settled an isle we named Crimson Isle. There rose Anglonia, our haven—until the undead scourged Aegis and the people fled to the Verge. Again, as is our way, we broke apart. Now my homeland lies far beyond reach, and I know not the road back. For now, I linger here. This is my story… Might you aid me?"

I haven't played LOTC since Aegis so me talking about lore I genuinely don't know about and haven't been updated on is metagaming and breaks RP for me. My Character has no idea what has happened to the inhabitants of the server since the Verge and even the knowledge he has of that time has been passed down to him through now generations of oral tradition. He would have absolutely no concept of Aevos or upcoming LOTC 10 lands.
