    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I'm not really sure how to answer this to be honest. It's not something that would even cross my mind. It is something that would take the fun out the whole experience, for everyone. Absolutely gainless.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: The whole point of a platform like this is to become immersed in a different world, even if its just for a couple of hours. If anyone compromises that, it can disrupt the fluidity of a storyline, relationships, opinions and more. "Realism" must be withheld in order to sustain continuity. Knowledge outside of your personal experience removes that for the most part.

Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I meet her gaze. As I begin to work up a response, I am overcome by a knowing of this mysterious woman. Words do not come out of my mouth. I am stuck, fixated on her eyes. I cannot describe them, they have no colour, yet they are deeply striking. I am stuck staring into them, its like she's hypnotising me..
