Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Cecilia stood there, taking in the space around her before her eyes land back on the hag before her. However, her expression isn't one of fear or defiance. As a high elf she was raised to be above society, yet in this moment she couldn't help but brim with excitement. Living at home with her family while an adult was torture itself. She refused any marriage candidate, finding ways to get the other party to change their mind. It never sat well with the her, the expectation of purity, the nonsense of being forced into a square she just didn't fit into.
"I'm Cici." She started, a smile on her lips as she took a seat. Pulling the hood from her head, her blonde curls tumbled down her back as she adjusted the green skirt to her attire. They were clothes that didn't match her, pale skin, blue eyes, dressed as a wannabe wood elf. "I don't know where to start.." Her voice trailed off as she pondered her reply. "I grew up in a strict household. My father was always busy with official work, so he said." She started to relax, scoffing as she leaned back in her seat. "It was a lie, I've seen him countless times with another woman in his arms." Distaste dripped from her words. "Maybe that's when it started." The pieces started coming together. "I had decided I would never be like my father. I would never pretend, like my mother did when she saw the lipstick that stained my father's collar." I continued, determined growing in my eyes as I met the gaze of the hag.
"I wanted to be my own person. I didn't want to conform to this ritualistic lifestyle." Another pause, sighing as she slumped back in her seat. "But it's never that easy is it. I was still a child, I couldn't do anything for myself. To an extent I played along, but then I started learning when I could sneak out. The times when my mother busied herself with wine and my father was occupied with rubied lips. My brother was also studying, so he never noticed. I took that as an opportunity and snuck away from the city. Just to experience something new." As she continued to talk, her excitement grew. "I got to see beautiful things! Deer, foxes, waterfalls..." She trailed off once more. "And I saw horrifying things... wolves in the snow.. smoke leaving his snout from the cold... blood staining the purest white..." A chill ran down her spine as she focused her attention back on the moment, excitement still clear in her eyes. "But that's what nature's all about isn't it?"
