    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming messes up fair roleplay because it breaks the story and makes things feel less real. When a player uses stuff their character shouldn’t know — like secrets, what’s gonna happen next, or what other players plan — it gives them an unfair advantage and ruins the fun of working together. It makes other players feel like their choices and ideas don’t matter because someone is using outside info to get ahead. This can cause frustration and makes it harder to keep the trust and fun that makes roleplaying good.
