He was enthralled by the stories of great mages and as long as he can remember he has longed to be a mage, but his father pushed him towards more political careers. At age 20 he is running from home to explore the world and to follow his dream of becoming a mage.

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
