Audax Fortisson was born in Azuras in a human family near the Kingdom of Norland.
His father worked as a hunter while his mother cared for their small home.
Growing up, Audax often listened to stories from travelers, mercenaries, and soldiers crossing the realm.
He dreamed of adventure and wished to become more than a simple villager.
Once he came of age, he left home to travel across Azuras in search of adventure and reputation.
Now he wanders the realm hoping to make a name for himself.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Example:
Audax Fortisson hesitates for only a moment before stepping fully into the shack, the wooden floor creaking under his boots. He slowly lowers himself into the chair as instructed. He makes himself comfortable before speaking.
“I come from the northern edges of Azuras, near lands once touched by Norlandic influence,” he says, his voice calm but firm. He rests a hand on the hilt of his blade, not in threat, but habit.“ Nothing there was ever meant for someone like me to stay.”
He tilts his head, narrowing his eyes, considering her words carefully before continuing. “I don’t hope for comfort or peace,” he admits. “I hope to earn a name worth remembering… even if the world has to be carved open for it to be spoken.
