    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is to use information that has been gathered outside of a roleplay in a roleplay situation where it wouldn't make sense for you to know that information.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is to completely disregard the roleplay and carry out actions that take away from the experience of others.

"Well," shifting uncomfortably, "I don't quite remember why I came here in particular... I think I heard that the king was a nice man. Maybe he'll be interested in a nature advisor for his kingdom!" "HA!" laughs the gentleman. "That's the best joke I've heard in a while," he exclaims with a big grin on his face. Then his face falls and displays a look of stupefaction. "Oh, you're being serious. That sounds like a futile attempt, but I wish you luck anyways. The castle is that way." **The gentleman points towards a looming fortress in the distance and walks away, looking for another new arrival. "I guess these people are going to need some convincing," I say with determination. "Now where did he say that castle was?"
