Growing up in the City of Ves, Fred had always wanted to fight in a war. So when the War of the Two Emperors came about, he knew this was his chance to fulfill his lifelong dream. Fred lied about his age to ensure his recruitment and then before he knew it he was already on his way to battle. But while he was charging into battle he fell, hit his head on a rock and then lost consciousness. When he came to he had a serious case of amnesia and forgot who he was. He made his way to the nearest city and from the advice, he received after talking with the locals he made his way to the Cloud Temple.
